The DimLux Xtreme Series NIR+UV-A Add-On is a powerful extension for your grow lights. This add-on enriches your plants with additional Far-Red (NIR) and UV-A light, providing improved growth, flowering and resistance. Available in 70W and 140W models, perfectly matched to DimLux LED fixtures of 500W, 750W and 1000W.

Far-Red (NIR) – Stimulates flowering and photosynthesis

Far-Red light, also known as NIR, works synergistically with red light to enhance photosynthesis. Applying NIR after “sunset” accelerates dormancy and stimulates flower setting. This leads to faster growth, more photosynthesis and ultimately higher yields. During the growth phase, NIR causes plants to grow taller, while turning it off causes compact growth.

UV-A – Increases resistance and resin production

UV-A light strengthens plants’ resistance to fungi and diseases. It stimulates the production of resin, flavonoids and terpenes, which increases not only quality but also yield. UV-A also improves root growth, darkens leaves through increased pigmentation and contributes to stronger, more compact plants.

When combined with a UV-B add-on, UV-A helps reduce DNA and protein damage and activates a synergistic stress response that makes the plant more resilient.
