This Lumatek LED auxiliary light is specially designed to support the light spectrum in your grow room or grow box with additional UV light during the flowering phase. You can mount the LED bar either horizontally or vertically and combine it with the popular Lumatek Zeus LED series. For somewhat larger projects, it is possible to connect these auxiliary lights in series (Daisy-chain). With its integrated power supply, the Lumatek LED bar 30W hardly takes up any space.

Extensive research has shown that adding UV light during the flowering stage has a beneficial effect on flower and fruit development. The Lumatek LED bar is specially designed to help home growers and homegrowers achieve a qualitatively unique and flavorful end result, where the percentage of active extractables can increase up to 30%. The UV-B spectrum helps prevent mold and bud rot, and the UV-A spectrum reduces the need for pesticides in case of contamination.

Clever minds with green fingers have determined, through scientific evidence, the ideal radiation doses at 280-315nm UV-B and 315-400nm UV-A. A single Lumatek LED bar can provide 2.2kJ/day (12 hours) of UV-B energy and 518kJ/day (12 hours) of UV-A energy. This corresponds to 100mW UV-B and 12,000mW UV-A. UV-C radiation has not been added to this LED bar by Lumatek. Integrate the auxiliary lighting together with Lumatek Zeus LED series, according to Lumatek’s recommendations and improve the lighting plan in your grow box.

Like most Lumatek products, you can connect the LED auxiliary lights in series using a daisy chain cable. To ensure the performance of the LED system, the LED bar has a single input and output bus for the power cable or daisy chain cable, depending on the use. A power cable (4Mtr length) and daisy chain cable (1.5Mtr length) are available separately and not included in delivery.

Applications in combination with a Lumatek Zeus LED grow light:
The Lumatek 30W UV auxiliary light is designed to be switched directly with all available Zeus LED fixtures. Integrate at least two of the Lumatek LED bars into your grow room. For best results, Lumatek recommends a combination with the following models of LED grow lights:

• Zeus 600W 2.6 – 1.4 x 1.4Mtr growing area
• Zeus 465W PRO 2.9 – 1.2 x 1.2Mtr growing surface

• Zeus 1000W Xtreme CO² – 1,5 x 1,5Mtr growing surface – with CO² addition
• Zeus 1000W PRO – 1.5 x 2.0Mtr grow surface: Install at least 3 LED bars, on manufacturer’s advice

Recommended use of UV-B + UV-A radiation: Always mix the extra UVB and UVA radiation with a Lumatek Zeus full spectrum LED grow light mentioned above. Start with a lighting duration of 12 hours or less. For best results, use UV auxiliary lighting during the flowering phase and at least four weeks before harvest.
Should your plants not tolerate the extra radiation doses of UV-A and UV-B well, increase the distance between UV lamp and plant or try reducing the light output by shortening the number of light hours.

Precautions when handling the Lumatek 30W UV auxiliary light: The Lumatek 30W LED bar generates electromagnetic radiation in the UV-B (approximate UV-ery) and UV-A (approximate UV-black light) spectrum with wavelengths from 280 to 400nm. We recommend that you take adequate precautions when using UV lighting in your grow room on a daily basis:

• To avoid unwanted physical effects, make sure the UV light is turned off when entering the grow room or grow box.
• Should it not be possible to turn off the lights, for example during watering: Cover all exposed skin with opaque material. This also applies to the face, neck, head, hands and wrists.
• Wear appropriate and protective clothing: Long pants, closed shoes, gloves, a long-sleeved sweater or jacket and safety glasses with UV protection.
• Never look directly into the light, as the UV-B radiation from the LED lamp can damage the eyes and skin.
• Ensure constant airflow around the lights to prevent heat buildup. Excessive operating temperature can drastically shorten the life of the LED bar.
• Do not bring the LED bar into contact with any other surface while it is still turned on.
• This type of grow light is only suitable use on plants.
